We set aside a portion of our cash flows for allocation to open source projects we believe in. As the value of our holdings grows, so too will our contribution.

We do this because a key tenet of our mission is to broaden access to opportunity. We recognize that when it comes to technology and the public good, we stand on the shoulders of giants.

In that spirit, we give to the following projects.

Strategic Development

Beyond sponsorship, we engage in returns-driven software development. We contribute to and build open source projects that unlock growth, open new markets, and help our public company investments take market share. This is strategic open source: code written with clear commercial objectives that benefit both the commons and our portfolio.

To promote decentralization, we encourage individuals to give as well. Broadening and diversifying funding sources leaves projects for the public good in a much healthier financial state by removing concentration risk.
